about

Hot Jam was a Midwest American rock and roll trio active from 1970-1980. After releasing multiple singles and touring with bands such as Heart, Trooper, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Chicago, Rick Derringer, Head East, Brownsville Station, Starbuck and Starcastle they started recording demos and tracking their first full-length album with producers Greg Riker and Flo & Eddie (The Turtles) on board.

After their manager disappeared with all of their savings in late 1979, they paused production on the album and eventually decided to call it quits. Over 40 years later they were inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Music Association Hall of Fame (class of 2021). The original master tapes were recovered, restored, remixed where possible and remastered. This album is the result.

The greatest rock and roll band of the 70's that *almost* was. Enjoy.

Thank you: Iowa Rock and Roll Music Association & Maddi Tesch, Tom Tatman & Travis Huisman at Catamount Recording, Gina Williams at WMG
